Suggested Reading: Maids of Misfortune

I’ve recently run across a wonderful little treat!  Maids of Misfortune is a lovely historical mystery set in my (nearly) home town of San Francisco.  It was written by a fellow indie author name M. Louisa Locke.  Here’s part of the description on her site.

It’s the summer of 1879, and Annie Fuller, a young San Francisco widow, is in trouble. Annie’s husband squandered her fortune before committing suicide five years earlier, and one of his creditors is now threatening to take the boardinghouse she owns to pay off a debt.

On top of that, Annie is one of San Francisco’s most exclusive clairvoyants!  Then, one of her clients turns up murdered!  How devilishly fantastic!  If you like Steampunk, Neo-Victorian, or Historical Fiction, or are looking for work by the dashing rouges of the publishing industry, you’ll certainly enjoy this book.  Check out M. Louisa Locke’s site, and get the Kindle sample of her novel for free, today!
